About David O'Riordan Photography
“Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.”
- Dorothea Lange

Born in Cork City Ireland, David O'Riordan spent time living in the state of Idaho in the United States where he met his wife. In 2006 he returned back to Ireland with a renewed appreciation for the country he was born in. Photography became a way to communicate to others the beauty he could see all around. He spent time traveling and exploring the Irish countryside and built up a collection of landscape work.
Now he spends his time building on his collection of work that covers many areas of photography such as Music, Documentary, Commercial, Portrait, Landscape and Media work.
Among some of the ongoing projects is a collection of work based on Cork called "The City". This collection of photographs captures a city that has hundreds of years of history blended with a modern city that is ever changing. Captured in black and white the work can be seen at various ongoing exhibitions.
Over the past year David O'Riordan has been covering a lot of music photography and has had the opportunity to photograph bands such as The Frames, Dervish, Paddy Casey, Paul Brady, The 4 of Us, and many more.
Examples of this work can be seen at a permanent exhibition at the music venue in ballincollig called The White Horse.
